For Back Office (skoolbackoffice.com) and the Back Office Connector Chrome extension. Last updated October 21, 2026.
The short version
Back Office reads your own Skool community so it can show you reports Skool doesn't.
The Back Office Connector extension sends your Skool sign-in to your own Back Office account, and nowhere else.
We never sell your data, never show ads and never use your data for anything except running your reports.
We never store card numbers, payment methods or members' billing emails.
You can download everything and delete it any time.
Who we are
Back Office is run by Skool Reports & Tools (Jennifer Maillet, New Brunswick, Canada).
It is an independent tool for Skool community owners. It isn't made by or affiliated with Skool.

The Back Office Connector extension
The extension has one job: keep your Back Office account connected to your Skool account, so your reports can update.
What it reads
The sign-in cookies that skool.com keeps in your Chrome browser. It leaves out Skool's firewall cookies, which only work in your own browser.
Nothing else: not your browsing history, not other websites, not the pages you visit.
Where it sends them
Only to your Back Office account at skoolbackoffice.com, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, together with the connection key you made in Back Office.
It sends them when Skool's cookies change, when Chrome starts, every 6 hours, and when you click "Send now".
What it keeps in your browser
Your Back Office address, your connection key, and the result of the last send, in Chrome's extension storage. Your Skool password is never read or sent.
Turning it off
Click "Change" in the extension, or remove the extension from Chrome. Making a new key in Back Office also stops the old one from working everywhere.
What Back Office stores
What
Details
Your Skool sign-in
The cookies sent by the extension, kept in a private folder on our server (not reachable from the web), so Back Office can read your community as you. Removed when you click Disconnect on Back Office's Skool session page.
Your community's members
Names, Skool member IDs, tiers and roles, join and leave dates, course progress, and who referred them, as Skool shows them to you as the owner. For the member map, place names only, never addresses or exact locations.
Payments
Amounts, dates, what was bought, plan and renewal date, Skool's fees and commissions, and refunds, as shown in your Skool payment records. Never card numbers, payment methods, billing emails or subscription IDs.
Community statistics
The about-page visitor and join numbers Skool shows you, saved daily so you can see history beyond Skool's 30 days.
Your team's work
Outreach notes and statuses, posts and calendar events made through Back Office, and an activity log of who did what and when (including the internet address it came from).
Back Office logins
Name, email, an encrypted (hashed) password, time zone, access level and last sign-in for each person you give access to.
Tracking links (if used)
Click counts per link. A visitor is counted with a code that changes every day; no internet addresses or other details about visitors are kept.
How we use it
Only to show you and your team your community's reports, and to do the things you ask for (for example, posting to your community or adding a calendar event).
Back Office only changes something on Skool when someone on your team asks it to. Everything else is read-only.
We do not use your data, or your members' data, for advertising, profiling, training AI models, or anything unrelated to your reports.
We may look at technical logs to fix a problem you report, or to keep the service secure.
Who can see it
You, and the people you give access to in Back Office. Money reports are only visible to owners and logins you give money access.
Each account's communities are kept separate. Other Back Office customers can't see your data.
We don't sell or rent data to anyone. We only share it:
with our web host (hosting.com), which stores the server our service runs on;
with Google, only if you choose to connect a Google Sheet in Back Office;
if the law requires it.
Voice typing in the post box uses your browser's own speech service (in Chrome, that's Google's). The audio doesn't pass through Back Office.
How long we keep it
While your account is active.
If your membership ends, your account goes on hold: nothing new is read from Skool, and your saved data stays available for you to download or delete.
When you delete a community, its data is removed from the server straight away. Our host's backups may keep a copy for a short time before it's overwritten.
Your choices
Download: owners can download all of a community's data from Back Office at any time.
Delete: owners can delete a community and all its data from Back Office at any time.
Questions or corrections: email us at the address above and we'll help.
If you are a member of a community that uses Back Office, the community owner controls that data. Please contact them first; we'll help them with your request.
Security
Everything travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Data and Skool sign-ins are kept outside the public part of the website, so there is no web address that reaches them.
Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
Chrome Web Store user data policy
The use of information received from the Back Office Connector extension follows the
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Children
Back Office is a business tool for community owners and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we'll also tell account owners in Back Office or in the Skool Reports & Tools community.
